Cathy Hynes &
Dave Pike
Cathy and Dave's
wedding took place on one droopy day. If it wasn't raining the
fog obscured everything and sometimes both happened at the same
time. We got a brief break when we started with the girls but
it wasn't until the reception started that the rain let up enough
for us to go out to the entrance for a few quick shots. Great
couple though, took everything in stride and still ended up happily
married.

Tracey Pitcher &
Russell Woodman
Tracey and Russell
came across the big pond from Halifax to get married in Placentia.
The day was bright and sunny, the service well attended and after
some formal shots we went to the baseball field where the groom
struck out the bride in three easy swings, (I think she let him
win). We had a great day and after supper Tracey and Russell held
each other in their first dance as husband and wife.

Angela Mallard &
Junior Nash
Angela and
Junior got married on their grandparents 50th wedding anniversary
and while the weather threatened to mess our day, all went great.
After the church we went over to Government House, my favourite
location in St. John's, for family and even some romantic shots.
We took a jaunt over to the south side of the harbour and managed
to get both the Battery and some boats in our session for just
the two of them.

Andrea Wilson &
Darryl Guiney
Andrea and Darryl's
wedding marked the start of my having two weddings per weekend
until mid-September and theirs was in Trepassey. A large happy
group we went from the getting ready stuff, first the boys at
Cappahayden, then the girls and then to the church and then out
to the middle of no-where as some people decribed it, to get some
great shots at the lighthouse.

Allison Mercer &
Brad Butt
After a week off
I started again with a local wedding as I call it with Allison
& Brad. From the service in River Head we headed to an old
school house in Bishops Cove and then to a friends house on Water
Street in Carbonear. Then, with just the two of them we found
a nice ocean-side spot for a few romantic shots. The reception
at Fong's went great, especially since they had a candy bar and
with the two of them, very nervous in front of all those people,
having their first dance as husband and wife.

Lorrie Taylor &
Adam Palmer
An overcast day greeted
us with a bit of rain threatening to fall on our heads but all
was well except the cloudy bright day was a bit squinty on some
more than others. Lorrie even remembered to take the sale tag
off her flip-flops she wore for the whole ceremony - who says
you need high heels! Adam as it turned out is an RCMP officer
in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut so throughout the day we had many arresting
shots (sorry Adam). We did our outside formals in the yard that
Lorrie used to play in as a child and even got her swinging from
a tree. Also went to an old train bridge for some more nostalgia
to carry into the future.

Julie O'Connell &
Kerry Sears
Julie & Kerry
had a great day for a wedding. They got hitched right downtown
in an old but grand church with enough girls and guys standing
for them to form a football team. Kerry was great in controlling
his exhuberant group and when we went to George Street the party
filled the road from side to side. A little more dignified time
previously we had lots of great photos at Government House, both
in the driveway and in the grounds.

Crista Watts &
Chris Baker
Crista & Chris
managed to have a great day weather wise. With both the ceremony
and the reception at the Holiday Inn everything went well. Nobody
fell off the sofas in the room where the girls were getting ready.
The ceremony was short even with the sand ceremony and then we
shot out to Bowring Park (along with 300 other weddings) to get
photos behind the Bungalow and then down by the waterfall. The
boys even got in a game of boce ball. A bit of a ride took us
out to a rocky beach and then everone lined up on the steps in
the hotel for one last group shot.

Susan Newhook &
Jared Clarke
Finally the weather
almost cooperated for us. Not a brilliant day but everyone was
feeling great, not nervous and excited to get on with the events.
It was my third Salvation Army wedding in a couple of months and
even had an increasingly popular "sand ceremony". After
we went of with the whole bridle party to Government House and
they brought along their pink and black umbrellas for a fun event.
Then to Torbay Beach with just the bride and groom where the weather
started to get a bit nasty but Susan and Jared got some great
shots in a natural living room by the sea.

Charlene Reid &
Chris Cumby
The day started out
a little unsettled especially since the forecast had called for
the sun to come out much earlier than it did. I started off at
the boys in Hopeall and got them feeling great and then down to
the girls in Dildo. Although running a little late it didn't matter
since everyone was in great spirits and the limo long enough for
me to use as a garage. The weather even cooperated for a while
while we went down to the wharf, climbed aboard someone's fishing
boat for a few "Titanic" shots and then to the house
and finally the hall, where for the first time every, the bride
fed the groom his reception dinner - hamburger and fries!

Frances Peddle &
Jamie Brewer
This was one of those
days where the weather was great until the ceremony ended. Everyone
was in a great mood and the moment we went outside it started
to rain and the temperature dropped to about minus 3000. We did
get some great shots in the house and church and even some at
Topsail beach before we all started to turn blue. Once over at
the hall everyone warmed up again, the pool table got some great
use and laughter came back naturally.

Ashlee Warford &
Steve Homewood
This was one tough
crowd to work with - they never stopped laughing! While we didn't
have the best weather, it didn't rain or snow on their day. Now
living in Calgary they came home to get married in the Salvation
Army St. John's Citadel and then they were off in their Hummer
for photos at Government House and Topsail Beach. Their reception
at the Holiday Inn was full of fun, food and they even screeched
in the mainlanders.

Susan Ralph &
Perry Stevenson
Susan & Perry
choose to get married in the old and charming St. Nicholas church
off Torbay Road. While the day wasn't all that great weather-wise,
the church was packed with friends and relatives in an atmosphere
that was relaxed and fun. Despite a near calamity with the rings
(I'm not telling you have to ask them) everything went well. The
backyard of the church was great for photos along with the barn
next door. We also went down to Torbay beach and to a friend's
house to finish our outdoor photos.

Tracy Sheppard &
Blair Clarke
What a difference
a day makes! The sun came out, the snow stopped blowing and we
had a great day for Tracy & Blair to marry in St. Augustine's
church. Even Quidi Vidi waited for us in full sun, a little cool
but much nicer than the day before. To top of the afternoon they
had booked the Winterholme and we got some great shots in a royal
setting.

Susan White &
Tim Galarneau
Susan & Tim got
hitched in the middle of an April snow in a lively home ceremony
with friends and relatives packing the kitchen, dinning room and
living room. Then after the ceremony we tried our luck by the
water's edge at Petty Harbour and after 3 bone-chilling minutes
headed indoors at the hall to finish our pictures but not without
stopping at their favourite eatery, MacDonalds..

Mellisa Bourne &
Dave Butt
Melissa and Dave got married in
between snow storms in Carbonear, NL. The day before dumped much
of the white stuff but the wedding day was bright and sunny and
minus 5. After the wedding at St. Patrick's we had the some formal
shots done at Crocker's Cove and then we went to a local B&B
(Keneally Manor) and then to her home where the entire bridal
party took turns racing around the yard on their snowmobiles -
great fun and outstanding shots.
